What is a Virtual Road Trip?

We are a family of six (four kids, age 14, 12, 9, and 8) who decided to do a fun little project since we won't be traveling much this summer. We've asked our family and friends to send us postcards from their home town/state/country and from any destinations they may visit on vacation. We will be compiling the information in various ways throughout the summer. Look around through the blog and keep checking back to see how things are progressing. June 11

We're a few weeks into our project now, and things are going well!  Today we have nine states, 3 countries, and one District of Columbia filled in so far.  We're taking turns filling out the information on the various states/countries.  Despite the craziness of a VBS week, the kids and I still managed to squeak out a few pages worth of research last night.  We're even Googling any questions that our senders are asking of us.  If you go to the Postcard Answers page, you'll see what additional information we've learned through them!  Do YOU know what "mutande" means in Italian?  Check it out... it may become a favorite new word in the Hollar house.  LOL

 Thanks to everyone for the postcards!!  We'll keep you updated with map progress and who has sent postcards as we chug along.  Check in on the various pages to see what we've done so far!
As T is pointing out... we are about 20% of the way through the US so far.  
We still need lots of help!!
